Privacy Policy

The short version: PropBeacon has no accounts, and the bets you track are stored in your own browser, not on our servers. This page explains the details, including what the services we rely on can see.

What stays on your device

PropBeacon stores the following in your browser's local storage so the site works between visits: the bets you are tracking, your settings (refresh interval, whether alerts are on), and whether you have dismissed the first-visit notice. This data is not sent to us. You can remove it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. This storage is needed to provide the service you asked for.

Screenshot import

If you use "Import a slip screenshot", the image you choose, paste or drop is read by software running inside your own browser. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else. The text-reading software and its English language data are downloaded from this site the first time you use the feature, and your browser may keep them in its cache so the next import is faster. Nothing about the image is stored by PropBeacon.

What we collect

We don't ask for your name, email address or any other personal information to use PropBeacon, and we don't run user accounts. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply and improve the site.

Hosting

The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Sports data services

To look up players and fetch live statistics, your browser requests data directly from third-party sports data services (currently ESPN's public data service). Those services receive your IP address and browser details, along with the identifiers of the players, teams and games you track, as with any website you load content from. They have their own privacy practices that we don't control.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. Cloudflare states that it is privacy-focused: it does not use cookies or local storage to track visitors and does not track people across sites. We use the results only to understand how the site is used.

Notifications

If you turn on alerts, your browser asks for permission to show notifications. Alerts are created by the page in your own browser. We don't send your notification permission or any notification content to a server.

Children

PropBeacon is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and sports betting is restricted to people of legal age (21 or older in most places). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Because we don't keep personal profiles, there is usually nothing to look up or delete. Depending on where you live, you may still have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to certain processing. To make a request about information we hold, such as an email you sent us, contact us at hello@propbeacon.app. For data held by the third parties above, use their tools.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and its date. Material changes will be noted on the tracker page.
