Play responsibly
Watching a prop climb toward its line is exciting. It should stay entertainment. If betting stops being fun, help is free and confidential.
Need help now? Call or text 1-800-GAMBLER (US), or visit ncpgambling.org for chat and local resources. In the UK, GamCare runs a free helpline on 0808 8020 133.
PropBeacon is not a sportsbook
PropBeacon doesn't take bets or handle money, and it doesn't tell you what to bet. It only follows stats you choose to follow. Any bets you place are with a licensed operator, under their rules and your local laws.
Keeping it fun
- Set a budget before you start, an amount you can comfortably afford to lose, and treat it as the cost of entertainment.
- Set time limits. Live tracking can keep you glued to a screen for hours.
- Never chase losses. Betting more to win back what you lost tends to make things worse.
- Don't bet with money you need for rent, bills, food or savings, and don't borrow to bet.
- Don't bet when you're upset, tired, or drinking.
- Take breaks, and keep other things in your life going: friends, sleep, work, other hobbies.
- Remember the odds favor the house. No tracker, tip or "lock" changes that.
Signs it may be a problem
- Betting more money, or more often, than you meant to
- Thinking about betting most of the time, or feeling restless when you aren't
- Hiding your betting from people close to you, or lying about it
- Borrowing, selling things, or missing bills to fund bets
- Betting to escape stress, or feeling anxious or low about it
- Trying to cut back and not managing to
